This book presents a selection of articles (criticism and research), published in "Ajkal" from 1942 to the present day, spread over in 5000 articles in nearly 900 issues, and over 45000 pages. Only those articles have been selected which contain both the research as well as critical aspects of poets and writers, who have been active and famous during their period but now have been forgotten. Their contribution to the enrichment of the language and literature cannot be denied but about whom material is not readily available. This selection seeks to fulfil the needs of the students, research scholars as well as the serious Urdu readers.
