Description
This book presents the way of life of the people of India, their customs, dress, festivals, music, dance and drama etc. The cultural aspects of Indians are presented zone-wise and state-wise. Written in dialogue form in simple language for children, it is illustrated with suitable line drawings besides 20 colour photographs printed on art paper. The book is useful not only to children but also to the general reader. The author Dr. Prabha Chopra is an editor in the collected works of Sardar Patel project and has written several scholarly works including "Delhi : History and Places of Interest", "Cultural Heritage of Tibet", "Echoes from North-East India" etc.
