Rajkamal's literary personality was formed while struggling with the stereotypes of the family and society. His characters break decadent values and struggle to establish new values, even to the extent of anarchy. After independence, when the new generation of writers became disillusioned, this generation became self-centered after being cut off from the society. Rajkamal was also a leader among the litterateurs who followed him.
